Maron Kusakabe is a very weak-hearted girl, though to everyone else she seems to be very emotionally strong, but that is just a guise she wears to hide her true sadness about not being able to see her parents and not having the courage to call them. She is also the infamous Kaitou Jeanne, the reincarnation of Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc.) Kaitou Jeanne is a "thief" who "steals the beauty" of paintings and other artwork in which demons hide and corrupt the souls of humans that gaze upon such peices of art. She is aided in this endeavor by her angel Finn Fish. Spoiler! Highlight to View!
In the manga it is learned that Maron is the reincarnation of Eve and Nagoya Chiaki is the reincarnation of Adam from the biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis. |
