Nachi and Wakamatsu Madoka fall in love, however in a side story chapter of the manga, Madoka finds that Nachi has a picture of Shido Soichiro and her in her childhood as Kurebayashi Chisato. Madoka assumes that Nachi and Soichiro are childhood friends and because she had told Soichiro that she wouldn't marry him because he was ugly also assumed that Nachi was just out to avenge Soichiro.

Madoka/Chisato goes to Soichiro's mother to ask to break off the engagement because she loves Nachi, only to discover that Nachi is just Soichiro after receiving plastic surgery, and in the end they remain engaged.
